Shakespeare: King Henry the Fifth, Act II, Scene II

Etching, aquatint and engraving, 1798, 498 x 626 mm. Fine impression on wove paper watermarked Whatman 1806, with good margins outside the platemark, as published by Boydell at the Shakespeare Gallery; a few edge tears not affecting the image. The scene is at Southampton and shows the King, Scroop, Cambridge, Grey and attendants. Henry has discovered the attempted treason of the three and revealed it to them through the messages they read.
