Etching, 1656, from Subjects from Military Life (30 Years War), Andresen 19, Hollstein 26, ex collection: Vladimir Pliakoff (not in Lugt). A fine, strong impression, clearly better than the one illustrated in Hollstein, trimmed inside the platemark, the subject complete; restored and backed small losses around the edges resulting in gaps in the borderline and a surface scrape and loss in the area under the table. There are a few black ink (printer’s ink?) marks in the upper right corner. While the condition is not ideal, this is a rare and interesting plate.
