Engraving, 1559, 24 x 168 mm., Bartsch 34, from The Months with Astrological Signs, ex collections: Hugo Ahne (not in Lugt); Dr. K. O. (not in Lugt). A fine impression on laid paper, trimmed slightly unevenly along the platemark but essentially complete; a brownish-red stain on the scorpion in the center and a pale stain at the left edge. The traditional representation of the tenth month has to do with the harvesting of grapes and the making of wine and that is precisely what Brun has shown here in fine detail on a tiny scale.
