Two Gazelles
Drypoint, 195 x 167 mm. Rich impression on thick wove paper with large margins, signed in pencil ; a line of paper discoloration from the old mat opening and a tiny rust spot in the pencil signature. Sintenis was primarily a sculptor of animals, but she made many prints of similar subjects. Her work is in simple outlines of the utmost economy but the modulation of the line itself produces life and nervous energy.
