Description: |
Fine impression on heavy laid paper, trimmed along the plate mark, which is mostly visible; a small surface loss in blank paper at the bottom right. Servius Sulpicius Galba (3 BC-69 AD) was Roman emperor after Nero, and seized the throne after Nero’s suicide. His brief and unpopular reign of seven months in 68-69 AD was ended with his assassination. It was a rough time in the Roman Empire. |
