Description: |
Finished watercolor in mostly dark browns and greens with a pale pink and blue sky on laid paper, signed with the initials TLR. The image shows a cleft in the heavily wooded hills by a coast. Within the cleft is a cottage and two men, one carrying a pole, the second using a telescope look toward tiny figures on a beach and sailboats in the water. The darkest areas have been touched with a slightly glossy substance, perhaps albumen. |
