Fine, fresh impression on laid paper trimmed inside the platemark but with a white border outside the fifth framing line. The galant subject shows an elegant young woman playing shepherdess, seated in a country setting surrounded by a sheep, doves, sheaves of wheat, roses and her straw hat. There is a short repaired tear at the left which just enters the image. |
