Brilliant impression on laid paper, trimmed to the borderline or the subject; pale staining and numerous tiny surface losses, most at the bottom of the composition. The print is a much reduced revese copy of the engravng by Marcantonio Raimondi (B. 206) which, in turn, is after a frieze on the Arch of Constantine. The set of eight from which this plate comes (No. 6), while unspecified in the title of the set, are all after Italian originals, Marcantonio or Aenea Vico |
