Description: |
Fine impression on laid paper with full margins. Sadeler notes that the ruin was named after its "cento camerelle" (hundred little rooms), which one can hardly get into, and that Tiberius died there at the age of 78. Bacoli is west of Naples and overlooks the harbor built by Augustus. |
