Description: |
Fine impression in black, blue, brown and red, printed from multiple plate, on vellum or vellum-like paper with good margins outside the rectangular platemark and circular image; the blank surface somewhat dirty. The image is of a moonlit scene with vast and partially ruined arcades with several groups of figures. Though Doric columns are in evidence, the architecture seems more Roman than Greek. |
