Freely drawn in brush and watercolors with some added fine pen lines in the face, on wove paper with the estate stamp, another stamp that says "Etude" and a small pencil inscription. The girl, head and bust, faces forward, her eyes cast down or closed. The drawing dissolves into irregular lines and masses at the base. The circular estate stamp reads "Ventrillon le Jeune," which is how Gaston is frequently named. He is an artist born in Nancy, 1897-? |
