| Description: |
Fine impression on thick wove paper with good margins. The plate carries the etched monogram FA and is similar in style and size to others dated 1890. Anderson seems to be totally unknown to the standard literature, but he was obviously a very competent draughtsman and etcher. The scene is presumably in a town in the Hudson River Valley area of New York State, as that is the location of his other plates. |
