Description: |
Generally fine impression, not brilliant but obviously the best that Wickert (one of the two authors of the catalogue raisonné) could fine, on laid paper, with partial thread margins or trimmed on the platemark; a few soft creases and tiny rust spots on the sleeve. Le Tellier (1603-1685) held a series of important government posts culminating in that of Chancellor of France in 1677. |
