Very fine impression in brown-black ink with a light, even plate tone, on wove paper with full margins, signed in pencil; the lower platemark has been reinforced at the back with paper tape. The work does not appear in the catalog that accompanied Godefroy's article in The Print Connoisseur, 1924, and is most probably one of a number of plates begun in the Teens or early Twenties but not finished or printed until years later. |
