Finished gouache with ruled, ink borderlines (110 x 156) on thick paper, signed and dated 21 in ink at the upper right; old mounting paper at the edges of the sheet. The scene shows a mounted horseman leading another horse, and accompanied by hunting dogs, in a winter landscape. The work is stylistically in accord with other drawings and prints by Taquoy and a totally charming little drawing. |
