Description: |
Fine, sharp impression on laid paper trimmed just outside the borderline and with the lower plate margin and the title, drum mounted to a sheet of wove paper. Sara, the wife of Abraham, is portrayed full length near a tree, and, in the background is a scene of Abraham entertaining the three angels. The print, which seems to have escaped cataloguers, may come from a set, or even a book, but it bears no number and there is no text verso. A lovely image, though. |
