Fine impression with rather heavy plate tone on a thin, tan laid paper (possibly oriental) with good margins, signed in pencil. Parrish notes 7 proofs sold, the plate too worn for publication and destroyed. The grain elevator depicted was at the mouth of the Schuykill River near the main channel of the Delaware River, close to Philadelphia. |
