Description: |
Fine, rich impression with burr on buff laid paper with good margins, signed and numbered 1/40 in pencil and with the blind stamp of Sagot. The edition of 40 was actually begun with some impressions of the second state and continued in the third state.
Vensin, assuming there really is such a place, is presumably somewhere in France but seems to have escaped any notice on the web. The scene is a hilly landscape with an old stone bridge, two cottages nearby and others scattered in the distance, trees and grazing cows. |
