Description: |
Fine impression, considerably bettert than the Vienna impression reproduced in TIB, on laid paper with thread margins most of the way around, inky plate edges in places; the paper somewhat dusty. This ornately dressed military musician, with a sword slung across his lower back, plays a keyless transverse flute or fife. The print is very rare and lacking in the British Museum collection. |
