Description: |
Very fine impression on laid paper with narrow margins outside the plate mark; small thin spot and two tiny nicks in the left margin. Chapelain was a rather unsuccessful poet, but a fine, broad-minded and sympathetic literary critic who aided, among others, the young Jean Racine. |
