Description: |
Fine impression, with plate tone, in brown-black ink on simili-japon paper with good margins, signed in pencil; the paper tone slightly darkened through the area of the old mat opening. According to Malcolm Salaman (1925), "The Storm is now one of the rarest, as it was one of the first to be acclaimed, of Brangwyn's etchings." The work is reproduced in Modern Masters of Etching. |
