An undated but clearly early, realist drawing by Suttman, showing a balding, mustached man seated at a table with a cup of coffee. His tie is loosened, his eyes closed and he is clearly tired. On the table is a bottle, an ashtray and a pack of matches. A picture hangs on the wall, and his cap hangs from a peg beneath a windown on the other wall behind the table. The drawing is finely done on board, completely finished and signed. |
