Good impressions, still before the monogram and the borderline, printed in sanguine on laid paper with large margins, from the edition published by Picart in 1710. Slightly more wear is evident than on earlier, 17th-century impressions of the plates. The later, Basan impressions were after the border and monogram, but the still later Jean edition was no longer employed the original plates of these 2 images but used deceptive copies. |
