Description: |
Fine impression in black with an even plate tone on laid paper with small but full margins, signed in pencil, also signed by Goulding as printer and annotated "2nd state" although Wuerth does not mention any other state of the print. The view is straight down the center of the approach street toward the Greek portico, supported by massive pillars, and twin towers of the church. The street, on both sides, is lined by uniform three-storied houses, sketchily indicated. |
