Fine head and neck portrait, drawn from life, on coated wove paper (the drawing itself has been sprayed with a fixative and is therefore just slightly yellowed), inscribed Franz Lehar (drawn from life) and signed in ink. Lehar (1870-1948) was one of the greatest composers of operetta: The Merry Widow (1905), The Count of Luxembourg (1909), Frasquita (1922), The Land of Smiles (1923), Giuditta (1934), etc.
