Description: A fine impression in brown-black ink with burr and plate tone on laid paper with large, full margins, signed with the red atelier stamp. The rocker is an elegant, swirly bentwood job, sat upon by a fashionable young lady who is actually Bertha Lucas, daughter of the American collector George A. Lucas who purchased from Goeneutte impressions of all the plates from 1885 on, both for himself and for Samuel P. Avery, thus forming the collections of Goeneutte's work in both Baltimore and the NYPL.
