Description: |
A fine impression on laid paper trimmed on the platemark and backed. The base of the image has been minutely restored in pen and ink, not,
however, exactly following the original design. Hollstein cites only three impressions of the plate, all in Aumuller's second state (the first state may be fictional). The shape of the plate suggests a dagger sheath, but no full impression is known nor has one
been conjectured in the literature. |
