A fine, fresh impression on thick simili-japon paper with full margins, signed and titled in pencil, and from the edition of 125 impressions (plate destroyed afterward) issued by The Print Maker’s Society of California. Botke was born in Leewarden, Holland, studied at the Graduate School of Applied Art in Haarlem and came to America in 1906. He married (his wife, Jessie Arms Botke, was also an accomplished artist) and moved to California in 1920, where he lived for the rest of his life.
