Engraving, ca. 1520-30, Bartsch 42, Hollstein 48, Winzinger 159 a (of c), 64 x 38 mm., ex collections: Gustav von Rath (Lugt 2772); Friedrich Koch (?) (L. 1020). Superb impression (better than the BM impression reproduced in TIB) on laid paper, trimmed slightly unevenly along the platemark, which is visible in places, the image complete. She is portrayed standing on a simple flat surface, draperies flying, plunging the knife into her heart and surrounded by the flames of Carthage.
