La Marchande de Legumes
Etching, 1923, 122 x 95 mm., Winkler 93.
Fine impression on laid paper with full margins, signed in pencil. This is one of Winkler's French etchings, but the style is the same as the earlier San Francisco works.
Probably done from life at a village market, the scene shows the vendor with her pushcart full of produce, a woman and a child buying from her. Other figures are lightly sketched in behind.
