The Old Mulford House, Easthampton
Etching, 1926, 214 x 280 mm., Cortissoz/Clayton 264. Very fine, rich impression on textured wove paper with full margins, signed in pencil with the cipher and annotated with the title; faint time toning in the area of the old mat opening. The old houses and trees of Easthampton gave Hassam the opportunity to record the play of light and shadow and resulted in some of the finest American Impressionist prints, of which this is certainly one.
