Farm House Amid Trees
Soft pencil on thin wove paper, tipped to card, 131 x 180 mm. Webster lived for a long time in the Dordogne, where he had purchased a farm estate. He made many drawings and watercolors of the area, of which this beautifully sketched sheet is one, and his drawings show a freedom and a spirit that are often lacking in his more precise and careful etchings. The drawing is signed with initials and comes from the artist’s estate and is priced at less than many of his prints. We have other drawings by Webster. Please inquire.
