Saint Paul Seated
Engraving, 185 x 120 mm., Le Blanc 19.
Suavius was a Flemish engraver, Italian influenced, probably through his father-in-law, the painter Lambert Lombard, but with a graceful and rather individual style. A fine impression, the signature at the bottom printing drily, trimmed along the platemark (narrow margin in places); some thin areas verso and a soft diagonal crease.
