Cimon and Pero (The Roman Charity)
Engraving, 1544, 71 x 48 mm., Bartsch 75, Pauli 79 iii/iii. Fine impression on laid paper with partial thread margins or trimmed on the platemark; an area at the upper left, below the monogram, has been lightly abraded and there is a pale stain on Cimon's legs. The story is the same as the previous number, but the image, which is a reversal and further development of a composition by Barthel Beham, is perhaps even more overtly sensual.
